Dopamine is a very important transmitter of the brain; it is also a hormone, which is connected to our inspiration, goals, and the energy to move forward, along with Parkinson’s disease, ADHD, depression, schizophrenia, addiction, and mobile addiction. Dopamine is often called a reward chemical, but in reality, it is a motivational chemical. It not only gives us happiness but also gives us the desire to do something, the passion, and the courage to fulfil our dreams. If it is not in the right amount, then a person can never be successful. That’s why I sometimes call it an achievement chemical.
Dopamine is mainly produced in the central nervous system, in neurons of the midbrain, in the adrenal gland, in the kidneys, and in the gut. neurotransmitter and a hormone.

Recognizing Dopamine Imbalances

When Dopamine is balanced, a person sets goals, fulfils them, and experiences satisfaction. He is happy, motivated, alert, and can focus well on anything. But when Dopamine is unbalanced, problems can start. You can recognise a person by looking at them, whether they have less, more, or the right amount of Dopamine. a person becomes lazy, less energetic, stops seeing big dreams, and starts resting. If a person has a little more Dopamine, or is around normal, then that person often walks fast, is full of energy, is quite serious about their life goal, sees big dreams, and tries to achieve them. Sex energy, Libido, is very rich in it, and there is a glow on his face, and he lives his life in a very carefree way.
If there is a lot of Dopamine deficiency in our body, then Parkinson’s disease, Restless Leg Syndrome, Depression, Depressive Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder can occur. Someone can also have some phenomenon like an addiction, schizophrenia, hallucinations, or even beetles. So if there is a very little and if it is too much, it becomes the cause of some kind of physical or mental illness.

Three Ways to Balance Dopamine

We have three ways to balance Dopamine in a healthy way.

Formula 1: Goal Setting and Completion

Now let’s talk about the first formula. Dopamine is related to the reward centre of our brain. When we achieve our goals, Dopamine is released in the reward centre of our brain, making us feel very good. at all, whether the work being done is big or small. It just knows that my master had thought of a task and he did it.
Now let’s talk about how to do it. You have to think of at least one task every day at night for the next morning, and you have to complete that task. The task should not be too big. The task should be small so that it can be done easily. As soon as the task is completed, a spike of Dopamine comes to the reward center of your brain. And if you keep trying like this every day, then slowly the amount of Dopamine in your brain increases a little.
If you have a big task, you can divide it into smaller parts. And you have to praise yourself for completing every small part of the task. If you set your aims in this way, make a schedule of tasks, and then complete them, your brain becomes used to a healthy amount of Dopamine.

Formula 2: Physical Activity

Now let’s talk about the second formula. To keep Dopamine in the right amount in the body, you have to keep your body active. You have to do at least 30 minutes of fast-paced exercise. You have to try to do small tasks around the house while staying active.
If you ever feel tired or have less energy, you can also run an experiment. And that is whenever you are tired, you feel less energy. Get up any way you can and start doing some physical work. In a little while, you will see that your brain will give you energy. Energy will come to you. The reason for this is that when you work, the amount of Dopamine in your brain increases a little, and it starts giving you energy. So this is a very easy way to stay continuously active and maintain a healthy level of Dopamine. If you can’t go out to exercise, can’t run, or can’t work from home, you can clap for 10-15 minutes while sitting on your bed. This can also give you a spike in Dopamine.

Formula 3: Gut Health and Diet

Now let’s talk about the third formula. To keep life full of enthusiasm and energy, the balanced production of Dopamine is extremely important. For this, you have to maintain your gut health.
And to keep your gut health good, you have to eat curd, other fermented things, eat fibre fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and eat things like seeds. Due to which the real food of the gut, probiotics and prebiotics, keep getting it. You have to increase the intake of green tea, black tea, coffee, cocoa, spices, colourful fruits and vegetables. Because they contain polyphenols, which are antioxidants. For gut health, you have to eat flaxseeds and walnuts, because they contain Omega-3 fatty acids. If you eat such food, then your gut health will be good, because of which there will always be a healthy amount of Dopamine in your body.

Managing Habits and Addictions

If you have become accustomed to scrolling on social media, reels or mobile to get Dopamine, then leave this habit quickly, because it can become a disease. For this, you shift your habits to other good habits, from which you keep getting the same amount of Dopamine. You can do good physical exercise, play a good, healthy video game, and make a habit of completing them by making daily plans. Remember that when you adopt a bad habit to complete Dopamine, then it becomes a very bad thing for you.
